Smokers Have lower IQs Than Non-smokers: Latest Study Published in Britain - - Smoking Also Affects Intellectual Performance


Doctors believe that the decision to smoke is linked to a lower intellectual capacity. Research published in Britain suggests that smokers have lower IQs than non-smokers.

The researchers found that the lowest IQs were those who smoked more cigarettes per day. Besides causing damage to health are known, smoking also affects intellectual performance.

The researchers found that the lowest IQs were those who smoked more cigarettes per day. A controversial conclusion.

The doctor Sergio Ricardo dos Santos notes that having parents or friends who smoke may be more decisive than the intelligence to the smoking habit. He remembers that the geniuses of music, like Mozart, were smoker. But he warned: the IQ of those who smoke may decrease with time.
